HOW TO BECOME A WRITER – BE A READER FIRST
If you would be a writer first be a reader.
Only through the assimilation of ideas can one begin to focus on his own ideas.”
~ Allan Eckert
Many people see themselves as great writers but lack the necessary ideas.
They think the ideas come from alone – certainly, but before you have to get inspired.
You may incite your inspiration through many things but the best inspiration source are books.
I don’t read 1.000 books before being able to write my own good stories!” you may say now.
That is certainly not necessary.
You don’t have to read 1.000 books but the right books that fit to you.
Having some good practice in writing and having read some very inspiring books, that fit to you and your expertise,
that you really get good ideas, you are on the right way.
“But reading books takes time and I want to write now!” you may answer now.
But why should you read the whole book when one chapter is enough to incite you being creative afterwords?
Sometimes only a few words are enough to deliver inspiration.
Reading more and more you will get a good feeling one day and the ideas come at once.
“But reading only some lines in a book, is that worth buying these books?” you may ask.
For sure! The books are yours and some weeks later you need these books for getting a new inspiration.
See your books as a good inspiration source and as a treasure with wonderful information.
Learn to appreciate your books!
