Finding your ONE BIG THING
A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for. – William Shedd
Too many people lead a life of complacency and they just accept their false and “dreary” life as it is. But we are not on earth to “enduring” a false life!
There are many people in our world, who are blinded by money and their job. They do not find the necessarily fulfillment, and overlook this “tragedy”, their dreary fate, and their struggle in life.
And some of them lead a life of resignation.
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. – Henry David Thoreau
How about you?
Do you know yourself and your purpose well enough to be ready when the right moment of success arrives?
When a great challenge arrives, there is no time to figure out your strengths, weaknesses, and your purpose.
By then it’s too late to find out what you’re made of.
You should discover your ONE BIG THING before!
Discovering your ONE BIG THING right now is the key to preparing you for whatever awaits in your future.
1. Schools and education don’t help you discover your purpose!
Millions of students fill graduate schools and desperately search for their one thing.
The solution lies not always in seeking to find the burning passion that makes us jumping out of bed in the morning.
2. Develop a new sight on things
From time to time it is better to develop a new sight on things, see our environment with new eyes, and reflect what is really necessary in life.
The real voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes, but in seeing with new eyes. – Marcel Proust
Problem is, people want to matter, want to get the own work noticed. We want to get the own book published, produced, created or funded.
WHAT YOU SHOULD LEARN
What really matters in the end, is what you accomplish with your own means.
What really matters is what you do with what you have. – H. G. Wells
Discovering your ONE BIG THING is not about your bank account, your position in life, or your current job.
Start looking at your life with a new honesty and clarity.
Great things aren’t accomplished by people who live in denial, or refuse to face truth.
